Frosty x 4

At our first ever annual cookie party, there was a special guest appearance by 4 snowmen. Don't they look great? (And I know Camila will want to show all of her friends these pictures at home!)

Winter Princess

Bethany all bundled up in her Christmas gift from Ethan (THANKS!)

Bethany wearing her cute velvet Christmas outfit at Brooke's house.

I don't know why her pigtails both flipped one direction- I tried all day to fix them, but then decided it looked cute- kind of a wind-blown look.

Lazy Christmas Card

Okay- So I'm really bad about sending Christmas cards, but here's my lazy, last minute attempt. Merry Christmas to everyone!!

Gingerbread Cookies

Every year we make gingerbread cookies for the office staff and principals at Jermie's school. Here are some pictures of our finished products.

Jacob's little masterpieces:

Kyle's decorating technique: Put some frosting on and dump a handful of mini m&ms on top.

Update

We're now officially on the 4th pair of pants for Kyle, BUT I must say that the rest of my day has gone rather well. My rehearsal went well (I coach the viola section for the Utah Valley Youth Symphony) and when I got home, the babysitter had fed the kids and gotten pajamas on. The kids are now watching a movie and I'm having cereal for dinner (standard fare when Jermie is out of town). Life is good...

Bad Day

Here's a brief synopsis of my morning:
9:30: Slid around in my car in the snow. Got stuck and had to go in reverse to turn around and go the other direction
9:45: Waited in line at Wal-Mart to exchange PJs for Jacob that were the wrong size. Apparently the long return line starts earlier than Dec. 26 there!
10:40: Finally got Kyle to Preschool class that started at 10:00
Throughout the morning: Let's just say that Kyle is on his third pair of pants- I won't go into anymore details. (trust me- you don't want to know.)

I know it definitely could be worse, but it's just one of those days that I wish I could re-do (I'd stay inside in my pj's by the fire)

Here are the good things that happened today:
1. I didn't crash my car.
2. I was able to help out my sister (love ya Brooke!)
3. I'm eating the new "Garlic chicken white pizza lean pocket" and it is super yummy.
4. Baby is asleep and Kyle is leaving for preschool in a few minutes- Aaahhh!

Christmas Portraits

Bethany had her portraits taken in her Christmas dress on Monday.  She is exactly 5 months old in these pictures.   My brother makes fun of me because I always say "so cute" in my descriptions of her, but c'mon... she is SO CUTE in these (that was for you, P-Dawg).

One Incredible Kid

These are Kyle's favorite pajamas.  He truly believes that once he puts them on, he actually becomes "Dash."  If you call him "Kyle" he gets very offended and yells  "I'M NOT KYLE- I'M DASH."   As Jerry Seinfeld once said, " When men are growing up, reading about Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, these aren't just kid fantasies.  These are career options."

Bethany's Thanksgiving Feast

For Thanksgiving, Bethany got to try rice cereal for the first time.  I'm not sure how much she liked it (she spit most of it out).

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had Thanksgiving at my parent's house this year.  Although the kids wouldn't eat anything, we had a lot of fun.

(Notice Bethany's "Baby's 1st Thanksgiving" shirt- So cute, but really a one time wear)

Jacob, Kyle and Jeffrey made these cute turkey cookies

Jacob spent about a half hour in this position trying to get every last speck of frosting from the bowl.

Our Bugling Boy

Jacob learned his first song on the trumpet yesterday. See if you can tell what it is.

Sad, but Clean

For some reason, Jacob was totally cranky when he got out of the bathtub the other day. I had to take a picture of this totally grumpy face.

What are you "fankful" for?

This is a song that Kyle learned at Preschool.  It's a great time of year to be "fankful!"

(P.S. I'm so proud of myself for figuring out how to post a video on my blog- Thanks for the help Preston!)

He's worse than the kids...

Yesterday, I tried to take a picture of me with Jermie (you know when you hold the camera out in front of you and try to get both heads in the picture). I couldn't figure out why Jacob kept laughing until I uploaded the pictures. What a goofball!

Virginia Party

This past Sunday, we decided to have a "Virginia Party" and invite everyone that we knew of from Virginia that somehow ended up in Utah (How does this happen?).   It was a lot of fun seeing everyone.  I hadn't seen most of them in 5 years or longer.

Phillip & Gretchen LeCheminant- Last time I saw them, they were teensy little kids!

Michele Steggell (holding Bethany) was my first viola teacher.  Mary Lousie LeCheminant was a Young Women's leader extraordinaire!

Beca's husband Matt was so sweet to play Ping-Pong with Jacob for a long time!

Bethany loves Gary Steggell (Sorry the picture turned out a little fuzzy- but still cute!)

Cara Vaughan Munson and her adorable little boy, Ben.

Beca Steggell Mark, Laura Steggell, Katie Steggell and her friend Mike.

Kristi DeMille Spackman and her adorable family.

Maria Starnes (sorry, I can't remember her married name) with her cute husband and girls.

4 Months ago, I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl and life hasn't been the same since.
Happy 4 month birthday Bethany!

6 going on 60

The other night, Jacob wasn't feeling well, so he wanted some Apple Cider before bed.  He wrapped a blanket around his shoulders and savored his cider.  I thought he looked like a little old man.

Halloween

Because of all the fun activities leading up to Halloween, the actual event was a little anti-climatic. Jermie decided to dress as Dracula this year and we made our traditional "witch's brew." After trick-or-treating, Kyle ate candy non-stop for about 2 hours (maybe that's why he's sick today). My favorite treat was Bethany in her Tootsie Roll costume!
