On Labor Day weekend, we decided to go check out Glen Echo Park which is in Maryland near the VA/MD border. My friend is having her wedding reception here in March and it sounded really cool. It used to be an old amusement park back in the early 1900's. We rode the historic 1921 Dentzel carousel. I have to say that it was the fastest, longest carousel ride I've ever been on (and at only $1.25 per person, a great deal!)
There was an arts festival going on that day, so we were able to watch a glassblowing demonstration- It was fascinating.

how cool. I've wanted to check that place out. on a normal weekend are their things to do besides the carousel?? ps, i need a copy of your family agenda in advance from now on!!
